I dropped my laptop... While it was running... After that, it wouldn't boot up. It started making very strange sounds when turned on.
After spending a lot of time on Google, I decided to remove the disk and connect it via a docking station to another PC on my own. Following advice from Reddit, I used R-Studio, a program known for recovering hard drives. However, when I launch the program, it completely freezes. As soon as I turn off my disk, R-Studio comes to life and works again. And it all repeats again when I connect the disk from the laptop - it freezes again. What should I do? How can I retrieve data from this disk? Could it be physically damaged and jammed?
