Good day 🙋‍♂️, I’ll be happy to assist you. Could you please provide more detailed information, perhaps with screenshots, on how the disk appears in Disk Management?
In the meantime, I’ll offer some immediate advice. You mentioned that the disk "normally shows up as an 'E' drive" but it's not showing up in File Explorer, and it may not have a drive letter assigned in Disk Management either.
If your partition is displayed with a label Your label, and the partition size and file system are shown below, I have good news: assigning a drive letter will likely resolve the issue.
Right-click on the partition and select Change Drive Letter and Paths. Then, in the pop-up window, click the Add button. Choose a letter and confirm the changes. Check if the drive now appears in File Explorer—typically, File Explorer should automatically open the window with the drive, although sometimes this doesn't happen.
There’s also the possibility that the drive letter is conflicting with the system for various reasons. You can fix this by changing the letter. Follow the previous steps, but instead of clicking Add, click Change and proceed with the same steps.
If the partition is shown as Unallocated, RAW, or marked as Not Initialized, I recommend checking out our article on partition recovery, which describes the steps for recovering partitions in detail.
