Great discussion here.
For anyone new landing on this thread later, just a heads-up: we’ve got a full guide covering this exact topic (Proven Methods to Speed Up iPhone), written and reviewed by our tech team. Highly recommend giving it a read.
A lot of what was shared here lines up with that guide:
✅ Clearing storage
✅ Disabling Background App Refresh
✅ Turning off automatic downloads
✅ Using Reduce Motion
✅ Restarting your device
✅ Checking battery health
From myself, I want to add a few more things that weren’t brought up here, but often help make iPhone run faster:
Clear Safari cache. Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. This removes old cached pages that can slow down the browser and system performance.
Review notification settings. If you’re getting tons of notifications from unused apps, disable them in Settings > Notifications. Fewer background alerts can reduce load on the CPU.
Limit widgets. Swipe right on your home screen, scroll to the bottom, tap “Edit” and remove unnecessary widgets. They update in real time and can slow things down.
Switch to a stable Wi-Fi. If you're on a weak or inconsistent connection, your iPhone might lag while apps try to load content. Wi-Fi stability can affect how "fast" your phone feels.
Offload/Delete large apps in Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Tap on big apps you rarely use and either offload or delete them to recover resources.
Clear out message attachments. Go to Messages > Specific Chat > Info and scroll down to “Photos” or “Documents.” Delete old media attachments that take up storage.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed. Marking this as Solved.
