Telale Not quite.
iOS doesn’t let cleaner apps (any third-party apps really) access other apps’ data like that. Apple’s own docs make it clear:
“iOS app’s interactions with the file system are limited to the directories inside the app’s sandbox directory.”
So cleaner apps can’t actually clear browser cache or cached files from apps like Chrome or Instagram.
That might be possible on some Android phones, but Apple’s notoriously strict about this stuff.
iOS just doesn’t allow apps to mess with data outside their own little sandbox.
ginger_bird That said, some apps, like WhatsApp or Snapchat, do give you the option to clear cache from inside their settings.
I can’t give you exact steps since it depends on the app, but if you use any messaging or social apps a lot, check their settings.
Look for sections like Data, Storage, or anything similar.
I remember Snapchat definitely has a Clear Cache option buried in there.
Just poke around and you’ll probably find it.
Another thing I should’ve mentioned earlier, have you tried rebooting your phone? You said it’s been feeling sluggish. A restart never hurts.
